U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced the endorsement of seven Republican National Committee members.
"After his victory in Florida, John McCain is clearly in the best position to win the Republican nomination," said RNC Vice Chairman Chuck Yob. "His ability to unify the Reagan coalition of national security conservatives, social conservatives, and fiscal conservatives gives Republicans the best chance of winning in November."
John McCain thanked the RNC members, saying, "I am honored to have received the endorsement of these dedicated leaders in the Republican Party, and I am thankful for their support."
Members of the Republican National Committee are automatically seated as delegates at the Republican National Convention. From this endorsement list, John McCain gains seven super-delegate votes at the Republican National Convention.
