STATEMENT BY ATTORNEY GENERAL ROB MCKENNA ON JOHN MCCAIN'S WASHINGTON PRIMARY VICTORY

U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today released the following statement by Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna on John McCain's Washington primary victory last night, a primary win that brought John McCain's delegate total to 1,045:

"The people of Washington have made their support for John McCain clear. Following last night's primary victory and his preceding state caucus victory earlier in the month, John McCain has secured 34 Washington delegates, an overwhelming majority. Washington voters undeniably recognize that John McCain is the best suited to serve as commander in chief, and is the man to unify and lead our party to victory in November. I am proud to support him and congratulate him on his win."
