JOHN MCCAIN 2008 ANNOUNCES WASHINGTON GOP ENDORSEMENTS

U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced a host of endorsements from local Republican Party leaders in Washington.

"John McCain is the one Republican leader who can defeat the Democrats in the General Election," said State Committeewoman Susan Martin. "Republicans across Washington and around the country are rallying behind his conservative, optimistic vision to move America forward. John McCain has the know-how and leadership qualities we need in the Oval Office. I am honored to be on his team and will do all that I can to ensure he is our next president."

John McCain thanked the local Republican Party leaders for their support, saying, "These local Republican leaders are the backbone of our Party. I admire them for their devotion to our shared conservative principles, and I am honored to have their support."
