JOHN MCCAIN 2008 ANNOUNCES CALIFORNIA LEADERSHIP TEAM

U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced its California Leadership Team. Bill Jones, former California Secretary of State, will serve as Chair of the McCain 2008 California campaign. Jones will lead the growing grassroots organization in support of John McCain's candidacy in California.

"John McCain stands head and shoulders above the Republican field of candidates," said Bill Jones. "He possesses the same qualities of courage, integrity, and inspirational leadership that Californians found in Ronald Reagan. John McCain continues to show why he is the most electable candidate and exactly the kind of candidate California Republicans can rally around. He is the most knowledgeable of all the presidential candidates on California's issues, and I am proud to lead his efforts in the Golden State."

John McCain thanked his California Chair stating, "Bill Jones is a respected and experienced political leader, and my campaign will benefit from his support as we work towards winning the support of the people of California."
