FLORIDA STATE REPRESENTATIVE MITCH NEEDELMAN ENDORSES JOHN MCCAIN FOR PRESIDENT

U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced that Florida State Representative Mitch Needelman (R-Melbourne) has endorsed John McCain for president.

"After much consideration -- and with Brevard County at a crossroads -- I have chosen to support John McCain for president because the people of Florida and all across the country need a strong and experienced leader," Rep. Needelman said. "John McCain has the most foreign policy and national security experience, and will fight for victory in Iraq, a central front in the war against radical Islamic extremism."

John McCain thanked Rep. Needelman, stating, "I look forward to working with Mitch on the issues that are important to Floridians. I am grateful for his support as we work towards victory on Tuesday."

Rep. Mitch Needelman was first elected to the Florida House in 2000. He has received several honors, including being named a Friend of Free Enterprise by the Associated Builders and Contractors and Legislator of the Year award for 2003-2004 from the Florida Association of Counties. Rep. Needelman has earned A+ Ratings from the Florida Chamber of Commerce and the National Rifle Association. The Florida League of Cities gave him the Legislative Appreciation Award in 2005. Rep. Needelman graduated from Webster University with a dual M.A. (with honors) in Public Administration and Human Resources Development.
