FORMER NEW YORK SECRETARY OF STATE RANDY DANIELS ENDORSES JOHN MCCAIN FOR PRESIDENT

U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign announced that former New York Secretary of State Randy Daniels has endorsed John McCain for president. Secretary Daniels joins John McCain's growing New York grassroots organization in the lead up to the February 5th primary.

"John McCain is the candidate best prepared to be commander in chief and New Yorkers are united behind his ability to provide strong, principled leadership for America," said Randy Daniels. "As commander in chief, John McCain will keep our families free, safe, and strong. He is a true American hero, and I am proud to be a part of his campaign for president."

John McCain thanked former Secretary of State Daniels, stating, "Randy Daniels has served the people of New York as an advocate for the common good, and I am grateful for his support."
Randy Daniels served as Secretary of State for the State of New York from 2001-2005. Following the events of September 11, 2001, he served on the weapons of mass destruction task force, and the critical infrastructure review team. He directed the New York State Fire Safety and Control office, where he presided over the rewriting of the New York building and fire code. Randy Daniels lives in the Bronx. He is married to Justice Sallie Manzanet and is the proud father of three daughters.
