GOVERNOR MITT ROMNEY ANNOUNCES VIRGINIA STATEWIDE STEERING COMMITTEE

Today Governor Mitt Romney announced the 20 members of the Romney for President Statewide Steering Committee. These Virginia leaders will help organize grassroots efforts across the state and will help communicate Governor Romney's message of conservative change in Washington.

Announcing the Virginia Statewide Steering Committee, Governor Mitt Romney said, "I am proud to have the support of these Virginia leaders. With the Virginia primary just around the corner, their leadership and hard work are critical to our campaign in the state. We are building an exceptional team, and we continue to gain momentum. With the help of this steering committee, we will continue to be competitive in Virginia. I look forward to working with this new team to victory in February."

Romney for President Virginia State Chairman, Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling said, "I am very pleased by the progress Governor Romney's campaign has made in Virginia. We have been able to put together a strong leadership team to assist us with out outreach efforts, and we have been able to put together a very effective grassroots organization throughout the state. These elected officials, party leaders and grassroots activists have been drawn together by Governor Romney's message of bringing positive change to Washington, DC. As our organization continues to grow, I am confident that Governor Romney will be well positioned to win the Virginia Republican primary on February 12th."

Romney for President State Co-Chair, House Majority Leader Morgan Griffith said, "Governor Romney is clearly the best prepared candidate, in either party, to lead America through challenging economic times. And, he is the only Republican who can unite the Reagan coalition and lead us to victory on November 4th."
