CONGRESSMAN JEFF MILLER ENDORSES JOHN MCCAIN FOR PRESIDENT

U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced that Florida Congressman Jeff Miller (R-Chumuckla) has endorsed John McCain for president.

"I am pleased to announce my support of Senator John McCain for President of the United States. Senator McCain is a strong leader and a solid fiscal conservative who has fought against wasteful spending in government since the beginning of his career. Not only is he the most qualified to lead the country on day one, but he has the courage to stay true to his convictions," said Congressman Miller.

"As a former Naval aviator who survived more than five years in captivity in Vietnam, Senator McCain has a profound understanding of what is at stake in foreign relations and military affairs. John McCain is ready to lead America in a complex and dangerous world and I'm proud to support him."

Senator McCain called Congressman Miller a true public servant and a loyal friend, "I am proud to have the endorsement of such a respected leader in Panhandle of Florida. I spent several years in Pensacola in my youth, and I know the support of Northwest Florida is essential to winning a campaign in the Sunshine State."

Congressman Jeff Miller represents the First Congressional District of Florida. He serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the Committee on Veterans' Affairs. Since coming to Congress, Miller has established himself as one of the staunchest conservatives in the House and an emerging leader on the House Armed Services Committee. He has championed numerous tax relief and veterans' measures and fought for less government, less taxes, and more personal freedom. Congressman Miller is married to the former Vicki Griswold. They are both active members of Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church in Chumuckla. They have two children and two grandchildren.
