FLORIDA STATE REPRESENTATIVE STAN JORDAN ENDORSES JOHN MCCAIN FOR PRESIDENT

U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced that Florida State Representative Stan Jordan has endorsed John McCain for president.

"As a former aviator in the U.S. Army who is now Chairman of the Committee on Military and Veterans' Affairs, I am pleased to support John McCain for president. He is the only candidate with the necessary national security experience to lead our country in these dangerous times," Rep. Jordan said. "He is ready to lead this country from day one and has the courage and foresight to confront our many domestic and international challenges."

John McCain expressed his appreciation of the endorsement, saying, "Stan is a respected leader in the state who has served his country honorably as an Army aviator. He is a distinguished businessman, and I look forward to working with him on economic issues that are of concern to Floridians."

Rep. Jordan flew fixed and rotary wing aircraft and also served as an instructor pilot. He is a recipient of the Legion of Merit award. He has served on the Duval County School Board, including four years as its chairman. He has been awarded Businessman of the Year from the Chamber of Commerce, Public Official of the Year from the Children's Home Society of Florida, the Disabled American Veterans Department Award for Outstanding Service, Outstanding Elected Official from Duval County, and the Public Service Legislator of the Year Award from the Florida Dental Laboratory Association.
